The authentic and beautiful village of Bomba

If you are tired of crowded beaches, poor service and inflated resort prices, it is time to look for a holiday with the difference.

You will be amazed what you will discover in this area - history and art, blue flag spotless beaches, famous turquoise water of Adriatic, wild mountain areas, abbeys and dramatic castles, Roman ruins and country walks, rolling hills with romantic olive groves and vineyards, famous Italian food, cappuccinos, shopping, modern ski resorts, cycling tours but most of all - the friendly people and typical Italian laid-back atmosphere.

This sounds expensive you think, and you are wrong!

Your typical cost of 1 week family holiday in our house will cost you much less than package holidays. Just an example - for family of 4 in off-peak season it would cost you  around £200 in Ryanair flights to Pescara or Rome (subject to availability), around £130 in car hire and only £230 in villa rental, total of just over £550, being excellent value for just under £140 per person.

Now with many restaurants, pizzerias and osterias and wallet-friendly prices (typical cost of dinner for 4 in a local restaurant with a liter of wine e40) you can treat yourself to the best of Italian cuisine and will never forget the taste of Proper Italian Pasta with freshly caught seafood or oven-baked thin Pizza combining rich Mediterranean flavors. Children will no doubt help themselves to tons of gelato and dolci. And if you choose to cook yourself, you will be spoiled for choice buying freshest and tastiest ingredients from markets, delis, specialist shops and supermarkets. Local produce including lamb, bread, Mozzarella and Pecorino cheeses, salamis and prosciutto, figs, olives, lemons and wine are of the finest quality and we are sure you will be tempted to smuggle some of it back home!

Have a look at our site and we hope you will soon acquire the same passion for beautiful land of Abruzzo as we have! We hope you will enjoy your stay and we are ready to answer any questions you might have. Grazie!

The review of our house left on TRIPADVISOR from our guest from Cambridge, stopping in June 2013

"One of Italy's best kept secret village, with fabulous villa accommodation  "

We have just returned from our wonderful holiday in Bomba! Everything about it was great - the house itself is lovely and feels homely; the downstairs rooms have beautiful original floors and ceilings, they are well furnished and very comfortable. The upstairs is light and airy with lovely tiled floors and a superb bathroom. The windows and adjustable shutters are brilliant. But the jewel in the crown, so to speak, has to be the terrace! It is fabulous! The views are amazing, of stunning mountains and the beautiful lake. And it is so peaceful.
The house is in a really good location in the village, the road is quiet, the bar and shops are within easy walking distance and people are friendly.
The local area is wonderful; it is unspoilt and peaceful, there is the lake, and there are lots of hilltop towns and villages nearby to explore, and the beach (uncrowded and very pretty) is only 30 minutes away. We also visited ancient archaeological sites and castles which were fascinating. The week went by so quickly and we were sorry to leave! The holiday exceeded our expectations, and we would very much like to go again
