Classic Italian countryside holidays in the heart of Abruzzo

Casa Bomba

We have a pleasure in inviting you to have a relaxing time in our recently restored classic Italian residence. It dates from late 19th century and retains many original features as mosaic floor, exposed beams, high ceilings, original doors and a marble fireplace. The house is spacious and situated in the village centre, easily accessible from the road. It has been renovated to a high standard including modern fitted kitchen, new shower room, double glazed windows with shutters, air conditioning and an electric boiler. The house is within easy reach from Pescara airport (45 min away), Rome and Ancona airports (just over 2 hours by car), all airports are served by budget airlines.

The exact address of the property is

10 Via Roma, Bomba Ch Abruzzo 66042 Italia

Three storey extended house in a classic Italian style

The main feature of the property is no doubt its huge panoramic terrace with uninterrupted views towards lake and Majella mountains. It is nice and cool in the morning, till the sun rises above Monte Pallano, and you can enjoy your breakfast there. The terrace is hot and sunny at midday, so if you do not wish to travel to the beach, why not have your sunbathing session on the terrace? In the evenings you often get a pleasant cool breeze from the mountains, and it is time to make the most of the fresh air, dramatic scenery and perhaps have a glass of prosecco, a barbecue or read a book. It is not directly overlooked and enjoys a good measure of privacy.

Terrace - according to our guests"The jewel in the crown, so to speak, has to be the terrace! It is fabulous! The views are amazing, of stunning mountains and the beautiful lake. And it is so peaceful." - our guest from Cambridge, stopping in July 2013.
Internally there is fully equipped spacious kitchen-dining room with cooker, extractor, fridge/freezer, table and chairs and a fireplace with a wood burner, providing some heating if it gets colder. The kitchen has all necessary utensils and dishes, linen, kettle etc for cooking.

There is a spacious, light and airy lounge on the ground floor as well, with two sofa beds, television, air conditioning and an additional storage. It also enjoys views towards lake and our garden with ancient olive trees.

Up the original marble stairs to the 1st floor, where you find a spacious fully tiled bathroom with huge walk-in shower, wc, vanity unit with hand wash basin and a washing machine.

Access to panoramic terrace.

On the top floor there are two interconnecting bedrooms. The smaller bedroom is accessed through master bed and has a bunk bed and storage. The master bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and bedside tables with light points.

The property sleeps 6 in total - bunk bed in smallest bedroom (you can easily convert it into two singles), double bed in master bedroom and sofa bed in the lounge, however if you wish to make use of both sofa beds in the lounge it is possible, there is small charge of £50 for 2 extra guests per week. P

The property is cleaned and maintained regularly and we will provide you with our caretaker's name and phone number upon arrival.

We have a good selection of books, DVD's and table games in the property if you are not lucky with weather. However it is unlikely, have a look at averages in the area:

There is a supplement of £10 per day for heating between October and April, but usually it is  mild and you can use our wood burner.

If your party is too big for our house, do not worry, we have additional  accommodation just within 1 min walk from the house, please enquire about availability/prices.
